Allianz began its operations in Indonesia by opening a representative office in 1981. Today, Allianz Indonesia consists of three entities: PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia, PT Asuransi Allianz Utama Indonesia, and PT Asuransi Allianz Life Syariah Indonesia.

In 1989, Allianz established PT Asuransi Allianz Utama Indonesia, a general insurance company. The company later entered the life, health, and pension insurance business by founding PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia in 1996. In 2006, both Allianz Utama and Allianz Life launched their sharia insurance business. In 2023, PT Asuransi Allianz Life Syariah Indonesia officially began operating as a separate entity providing sharia-based life insurance protection and financial risk management services.

Today, Allianz Indonesia is supported by more than 1,000 employees and over 40,000 marketing agents, strengthened by a network of banking partners and other distribution partners. Allianz has grown into one of Indonesia’s leading insurance companies, trusted to protect more than 10 million insured individuals.
